The Nursing and Midwifery Council in partnership with the Human Resource Division at the Ghana Health Service will soon organize a career progression and development workshop for all nursing and midwifery practitioners.

The Registrar of the Council, Mr. Felix Nyante disclosed this during an operation visit to the Northern Region where he met students, Tutors and Nursing and Midwifery Practitioners at the following places:

1. College of Health Sciences, Yendi
2. District Hospital, Yendi
3. Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Gushegu
4. District Hospital, Gushegu

Mr. Nyante stressed that the workshop had become necessary for the Council and GHS to collaborate and sensitize practitioners on matters relating to their profession.

He noted that the workshop will be designed to provide practitioners with a structured pathway of information that encourages their development, builds their knowledge and enables them to grow personally and professionally.

Consistent with guidance from public health officials to encourage social distancing to limit the community spread of the coronavirus, the workshop will be held remotely. Nursing and Midwifery Practitioners will be sent a link to participate online.

There will be time allotted for Questions & Answers as well.
We encourage all practitioners to join when the details of the registration are made available.
